The Hausa Dataset contains over 200 core Hausa words organized by linguistic categories such as pronouns, verbs, nouns, and adjectives. It covers gender-distinct pronouns, verbs for daily activities and essential actions, nouns related to family, nature, time, and cultural concepts, proper Hausa adjective formations, numbers from basic counting to large values, and time expressions including Islamic prayer times. The dataset also includes Hausa-specific linguistic elements like gender agreement with ne/ce copulas, proper pronoun usage, negation patterns, question word formations, and conjunction usage following Hausa syntax. Additionally, it contains Islamic content relevant to Hausa speakers, traditional Hausa proverbs with their meanings, cultural practices and traditions, and major Hausa cities and cultural elements. The data type distribution includes synthetic sentences, grammatical structure pattern variations, conversational exchanges, question-answer pairs, translation exercises, grammar instruction, story completions, proverb explanations, religious content, and cultural content.
