Ten single-cell genomes (SAGs) of an uncultivated, early-branching Actinobacteria were retrieved from Hakuba Happo hot springs (Happo well #3), a serpentinite-hosted system. Hakuba Happo hot springs is located in Nagano (Japan) and water temperatures reach about 50?C with highly alkaline pH >10.5.These SAGs belong to the actinobacterial clade UBA1414/RBG-16-55-12 (formerly known as “OPB41”), and we propose to name it ‘Candidatus Hakubanella thermoalkaliphilus’.
