资源简介:
In the study, we aim to explore the causal relationship between BMI (ukb-b-19953) and polycystic ovarian syndrome (finn-b-E4_POCS) using a bidirectional, two-sample MR analysis with the latest GWAS database. Our results support a causal relationship in this regard. The findings highlight the importance of recognizing and safeguarding populations at risk of PCOS due to overweight or obesity. Inversely, our research found that the severity of PCOS may also be one of the potential factors contributing to BMI increase, possibly informing innovative prevention and treatment strategies
