资源简介:
The goal is to determine the effects of a 10-second pulse of UVC light (250 nm) as a pre-treatment of a blood sample to see if different microbes will be detected as compared to an untreated sample. The goal is to see if combining the UVC pre-treated and untreated sample results will lead to more total microbial taxa being detected and to see if the findings differ significantly when comparing the blood from a control blood donor and a partially recovered ME/CFS patient. Another goal is to determine if the types of microbes detected when the UVC is used are different than those detected when it is not used. Both 16sRNA and ITS results are obtained for each of the samples.
