Searching for a new single nucleotide polymorphism in ACRBP gene.. Homo sapiens

An unnamed protein product was noticed in NCBI database (Genebank ID: BAG35645) which is very similar to human acrosin binding protein (ACRBP). We found that there is only one amino difference between the two protein sequence. Therefore, we thought that the new protein might be a variant of ACRBP. Then we designed primers for allele-specific PCR targetting the finding of a new SNP.
