Zöbelboden terrestrial laser scanning data 2024 - Intensive plots IP2 and IP3

The terrestrial laser scan was carried out in early November 2024 (from November 11 to November 14, 2024) using the Riegl VZ400i laser scanner. The instrument features a range accuracy of ±5 mm and an angular accuracy of 0.0005°, ensuring high-precision 3D data acquisition. The scan was carried out under snow-free, leaf-off conditions. Subsequently, the point cloud was analyzed by segmenting individual trees. Using a quantitative structure model, the volume, diameter at breast height (DBH), and height of each stem were determined.
