From July 2017 to July 2018, Brazilian families spent, on average, more than 650 Brazilian reals per month on food. During that period, home-cooked food accounted for over 67 percent of their total monthly food spending, with an average of 442.27 Brazilian reals. For visits to restaurants, bars and other kinds of foodservice establishments, families in the South American country destined, on average, 215.96 Brazilian reals per month.
