the transcriptome sequencing on samples from different stages of Atherosclerosis

The differential expression profiles of miRNAs during different stages of atherosclerosis have not yet been reported. We carried out whole-transcriptome sequencing and identified the expression profiles of miRNAs in three groups of mice with varying degrees of atherosclerosis. 8-week-old ApoE-/- mice were administrated an HFD for different durations to model different stages of AS in the present study. The mice receiving an HFD for 0, 4 and 16 weeks from 8 weeks of age were considered the normal (NO), early AS (EA) and advanced AS (AD) groups, respectively. The data may provide a new research direction for future in-depth studies.
