Sulu Sea Chlorophyll estimate from MERIS Imagery.

The Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) measures the solar radiation reflected by the Earth surface with a ground resolution of 300 metres. With 15 spectral bands in visible and near infrared, MERIS covers the entire Earth surface every 3 days.Sea color chlorophyll pigment concentration (algal1, algal2), yellow substance and total suspended matter concentrations, and water vapor content, were all measured/estimated using MERIS.

中等分辨率成像光谱仪（Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer，MERIS）以300米的地面分辨率对地表反射的太阳辐射进行观测。该仪器搭载15个可见光及近红外光谱波段，每3天即可完成一次全球地表全覆盖扫描。借助MERIS数据，可测量/反演海洋叶绿素色素浓度（algal1、algal2）、黄色物质与总悬浮颗粒物浓度，以及水汽含量。
