Representations report : Western Sydney Orbital : volume 1 : main report : appendices 1-7

The Western Sydney Orbital (WSO) is a proposed motorway 40 kilometres long , extending from the Hume Highway/F5 Freeway/M5 Motorway at Crossroads/Prestons in the south to the M2 Motorway at West Baulkham Hills in the north. The WSO is proposed to become part of the National Highway System in Australia, replacing the congested Cumberland Highway as the route through Sydney. In addition, the WSO aims to improve traffic within western Sydney by connecting Sydney's existing motorways (the M5, the M4 and the M2) and thereby completing a large section of the Sydney Orbital Road Network. The RTA has prepared this Representations Report. It responds to the representations that were received and outlines modifications to the Proposal in order to mitigate the environmental impacts. It also provides a summary of mitigation measures and other commitments.

西悉尼绕城公路（Western Sydney Orbital, WSO）是一条规划中的40公里高速公路，南起克罗斯罗兹（Crossroads）/普雷斯顿（Prestons）区域的休姆高速公路（Hume Highway）、F5高速公路与M5高速公路，北至西鲍克汉姆希尔斯（West Baulkham Hills）的M2高速公路。该线路拟纳入澳大利亚国家高速公路系统，将替代拥堵的坎伯兰高速公路（Cumberland Highway），成为穿越悉尼的干线通道。此外，西悉尼绕城公路旨在通过连接悉尼现有高速公路（M5、M4及M2），改善悉尼西部的交通运行状况，进而完善悉尼绕城公路网的大片区段。道路与交通管理局（Roads & Traffic Authority, RTA）已编制本公众意见答复报告，该报告针对此前收到的各类公众意见作出回应，并概述了规划方案的调整内容以减轻环境影响，同时汇总了环境减缓措施及其他相关承诺事项。
