Field Experiment Data

Data collect at York University, collected on two seperate occasions. First data set was collected October 13, 2015 at the Osgoode Woodlot, with the weather being 14 degrees celsius being both cloudy and windy. The second data set was collected a week later on October 20, 2015 at the Boyer Woodlot, with the weather being 15 degrees celsius with it being cloudy, windy and rainy. During both data sets 3 different locations were found where the canopy coverage overhead varied at 3 dufferent levels; low, medium and high. To determine the level of coverage a square was made with our hands at arms length and made by self judgement. At each of these locations a total of 15 bowls were placed, 5 of each color; red, yellow and white. Each bowl had a fair amount of soapy water in it to capture any insects whom may wander in. After a two hour wait period the bowls were rechecked and anything caught inside the bowls were categorized.本数据集采集于约克大学（York University），分两次独立完成。第一次采集于2015年10月13日的奥斯古德林地（Osgoode Woodlot），当日气温14摄氏度，天气多云且有风。第二次采集于一周后的2015年10月20日，地点为博耶林地（Boyer Woodlot），当日气温15摄氏度，天气为多云、有风且有降雨。两次采集均选取了3处冠层覆盖度不同的点位，覆盖度分为低、中、高三个等级。冠层覆盖度等级通过手臂伸展时双手围成的正方形进行主观判断。在每个点位共放置15个捕集碗，其中红、黄、白三色各5个。每个碗内盛放适量肥皂水，用于捕获误入的昆虫。静置两小时后回收捕集碗，对碗内捕获的所有昆虫进行分类记录。
