作为固有光学量IOPs的主要组成部分之一,颗粒物对水体吸收同样具有重要意义。根据物质成分的不同,可将总颗粒物进一步分为浮游植物颗粒(色素颗粒)和非浮游植物颗粒(Non-algal Particles, NAP)。
实际操作中,通过甲醇萃取等方法洗去总颗粒物中的色素部分,从而得到非色素颗粒膜样,两者吸收系数测量结果相减得到色素颗粒吸收值。

As one of the core components of inherent optical properties (IOPs), particulate matter also plays a significant role in the absorption of water bodies. Based on their chemical compositions, total particulate matter can be further divided into phytoplankton particles (pigment particles) and non-algal particles (NAP).
In practical operations, the pigment fraction in total particulate matter is removed via methods such as methanol extraction to obtain non-pigment particulate membrane samples, and the absorption value of pigment particles is calculated by subtracting the measured absorption coefficients of the two samples.
This dataset contains particulate matter absorption coefficient data collected during China's 10th Arctic Scientific Expedition in 2019, which is of great significance for understanding the processes, mechanisms and capacity of CO₂ absorption and transfer in the Arctic and its adjacent seas, comprehending the biogeochemical characteristics of phytoplankton in specific Arctic marine areas, and studying their contributions to global climate change as well as their impacts on China's climate and marine environment.
