Cefiderocol is a new siderophore cephalosporin approved for the treatment of infections by MDR Gram-negative bacteria, but data on its activity in the CF setting is still limited. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the activity of cefiderocol against P. aeruginosa isolates from chronically-colonized CF patients, as well as to investigate the potential mechanisms involved in resistance.
