INSPIRE - Annex III - Environmental Monitoring Facilities - (Bio) Macrophytes and phytobenthos 2021

Macrophytes and phytobenthos (diatoms) are two sub-parameters of the biological quality element of the aquatic flora considered in the assessment of ecological status/potential. Aquatic flora is assessed based on the lowest-scoring sub-parameter (worst-case). The assessment of aquatic flora is carried out using five classes: high (blue), good (green), moderate (yellow), poor (orange), and bad (red).
