Endophytism is the phenomenon of mutualistic association of a plant with a microorganism wherein the microbe lives in the tissues of the plant without causing any disease. This study was carried out to assess the extent of bacterial diversity in corm and shoot of Crocus sativus (saffron). DNA was extracted from corm and shoot tissues homogenate of the plant. The DNA samples from corm and shoot (designated as E1 and E2) were used for microbiome data analysis through 16S rRNA V3 region metagene profiling.
