This study, performed as part of the MODHEP consortium, reports the mapping of somatic retrotransposition (L1,Alu,SVA) in human hepatocellular carcinoma. The core data presented are from an updated retrotransposon capture sequencing (RC-seq) protocol, applied to multiple tumors and matched controls. These data support a publication by Shukla et al., Cell, 2013. The original RC-seq was published by Baillie et al., Nature, 2011.
