Unconsolidated Aquifers - NYRWA

This data set is of unconsolidated aquifers found in the following towns: Ancram, Austerlitz, Chatham, Claverack, Copake, Germantown, Ghent, Hillsdale, Stuyvesant, and Taghkanic. Steven Wiinkley of the New York Rural Water Association completed unconsolidated aquifer mapping in these towns as part of groundwater and source water protection efforts. Unconsolidated aquifers are chiefly sand and gravel deposited during the deglaciation and post-glaciation periods.
