资源简介:
This study investigates the potential benefits of supplementing broiler chicken diets with a diatomite-bentonite mixture (DBM) on the gut microbiome's composition and the broader implications for poultry health and production. Diatomite, recognized for its beneficial properties in agriculture, including its role as an insecticide and anti-caking agent, was evaluated for its impact when combined with bentonite. We aimed to determine how this supplementation influences the microbial diversity and population within the gut of broiler chickens from an early age throughout their growth cycle. Specifically, the research sought to assess changes in the microbiome that could relate to improved health and growth performance, reflecting on the potential for DBM to enhance commercial poultry rearing practices.
