Parque Natural Metropolitano (PNM) crane station.

Established in 1995, the PNM canopy crane is located at the North Western edge of Panama City, at the eastern edge of the Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Nature Park) and is surrounded by 80-year old, lowland semi-deciduous forest. The crane was 42 meters tall. The original monitoring station was located at approximately 25m. This level was about 1/3 the way from the canopy.
In 2021, the original crane was dismantled and replaced with a new, 68m crane in January 2022.
The original rain gauge was located 25m. In April of 2008 the gauge was moved to the top of the crane. In Feb. of 2022 a new gauge was installed on top of the new crane. Data from all three locations are treated as one data series.

该PNM林冠吊塔于1995年设立，坐落于巴拿马城西北边缘、大都会自然公园东侧，周边被树龄达80年的低地半落叶林环绕。原吊塔高度为42米，初始监测站点设于约25米高度处，该位置距林冠约为总林冠高度的1/3。
2021年，原吊塔被拆除，并于2022年1月更换为高度68米的新型林冠吊塔。
原雨量计（rain gauge）设于25米高度处；2008年4月，该雨量计被迁移至原吊塔塔顶；2022年2月，新吊塔塔顶安装了全新的雨量计。所有来自三个不同布设位置的观测数据被整合为同一数据序列。
