To understand the molecular mechanisms of shell formation, we performed transcriptome using next-generation sequencing technology (NovaSeq 6000). We constructed cDNA library for transcriptome using RNA samples were extracted from the mantle tissue of a pen shell Atrina pectinata. This trasncriptome data were used for identify the biomineralization-related genes in this species.
