Passive tracer data for a large eddy simulation of the upper ocean

A large eddy simulation is used to model the 3D mixed layer on scales from 4 m to 20 km. This dataset contains snapshots of the (dimensionless) passive tracer variables as described in an associated publication (Smith et al., 2016). The state variables at other timesteps during spinup are associated with other datasets that are available under GRIIDC Unique Dataset Identifiers (UDIs) R4.x265.241:0003 and R4.x265.241:0001. The snapshot number is given as a dimensionless time. Location within the domain is given as x, y, zu (cell center), zw (upper boundary of cell), with units of meters. Dataset also includes passive tracer concentration (dimensionless, equivalent to g/kg) of a variety of artificially-induced tracers.
