The dataset includes the following tables: Table 1: Number of cases, YLDs, age-standardized rates of prevalence and YLDs (1990 and 2021), and estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) from 1990 to 2021, by sex. Table 2: Prevalence and YLDs of severe heart failure due to DUDs across 21 GBD regions, 1990–2021. Table 3: Prevalence, YLDs in 2021, and EAPC from 1991 to 2021 for severe heart failure attributable to DUDs in 204 GBD countries and territories (see supplementary table "204 GBD countries EAPC"). Table 4: Decomposition analysis of the change in number of cases (prevalence) and YLDs for severe heart failure attributable to DUDs from 1990 to 2021, by Socio-demographic Index (SDI). Table 5: Decomposition analysis of the change in number of cases (prevalence) and YLDs for severe heart failure attributable to DUDs from 1990 to 2021, by sex. Table 6: 204 GBD countries EAPC Data source:All primary data were derived from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2021 (GBD 2021), publicly available from the Global Health Data Exchange (GHDx). These tables represent processed summary data generated from the original GBD estimates. File format:The supplementary materials are provided in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format.
