Survey of controlling infestations of red imported fire ants in Brisbane and South East Queensland

The Red Imported Fire Ant is a highly invasive and destructive pest which originates from South America. It was first detected in Brisbane in February 2001, with infestations found around the port facilities at Fisherman Islands and in the south-western suburbs around Richlands.

红火蚁（Red Imported Fire Ant）是一种源自南美洲的极具入侵性且破坏力极强的有害生物。该物种于2001年2月首次在布里斯班被发现，当时的侵染区域覆盖费希尔曼群岛的港口设施周边，以及里奇兰兹周边的西南郊区。
