Satyrium ilicis shows a preference for parcels treated with rock flour.

There has been a drastic decline in Satyrium ilicis population across north-east Europe. One of the reasons of this decline is the acidification of soil at its natural habitats. Rock flour has been given as a solution, it can reverse the acidification of the soil. The observations of this research suggest a preference of Satyrium ilicis for locations that have been treated with rock flour.欧洲东北部地区的栎叶绶兰（Satyrium ilicis）种群数量出现了大幅下降。该种群衰退的诱因之一，是其自然栖息地的土壤酸化。岩粉（Rock flour）作为一种修复方案被提出，其可逆转土壤酸化进程。本研究的观测结果显示，该物种更倾向于选择经岩粉处理过的生境。
