Illness scripts as a tool to develop clinical reasoning: A mixed methods study dataset

A dataset for our research on illness scripts as a tool to develop clinical reasoning. Introduction: Clinical reasoning is a skill which must be developed by medical students during their training. Illness scripts may have a role in building this skill. The aim of this study was to investigate medical students' use of illness script tables. Methodology: The study was a cross-sectional, mixed-methods design. Third year medical students were recruited. Ethical approval was gained, and survey responses (distributed via on online platform) were anonymous. Results were quantitatively analysed using the dataset.
