Genomes of two FIM-1-producing Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates. Pseudomonas aeruginosa

FIM-1 is a metallo-beta-lactamase identified in a multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa of clinical origin isolated in 2007 in Florence, Italy. In 2020, a second FIM-1-positive P. aeruginosa f clinical origin was isolated in the same hospital, in absence of direct epidemiological links with the index case. The blaFIM-1 gene was associated with ISCR19-like elements that likely contributed to its capture downstream an integron platform inserted into a Tn3-family transposon, which was in turn inserted into an integrative and conjugative element (ICE) of the clc family.
