Line transect observations of wildlife and human disturbance recorded using distance sampling in Mahale Mountains National Park, Tanzania

This dataset corresponds to research conducted in Mahale Mountains National Park, Tanzania. The primary goal of this research was to accomplish the first comprehensive and systematic census of chimpanzees (Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii) inside MMNP. All direct and indirect (e.g., tracks, feces) observations of medium to large mammals and human disturbance (e.g., snares) were recorded. This research was conducted from March 2018 - January 2019. Data were collected via distance sampling across 102 transects from 13 survey sites.本数据集对应坦桑尼亚马哈勒山脉国家公园（Mahale Mountains National Park）开展的一项研究。本研究的首要目标是对该公园内的黑猩猩（Pan troglodytes schweinfurthii）完成首次全面且系统的种群普查。研究记录了所有直接及间接（如足迹、粪便）观测到的中大型哺乳动物，以及人类干扰活动（如猎套）。本次调查于2018年3月至2019年1月期间开展，通过距离抽样法在13个调查点位的102条样线中完成数据采集。
