CATCH-EyoU. Processes in Youth’s Construction of Active EU Citizenship. Italian Wave 1 Questionnaires. EXTRACT. Tolerance and Political Participation

This dataset contains the underlying data of the following article published in the Journal Psicologia di Comunità:

The dataset consists of correlational quantitative data collected in Italy within Work Package 7 of the research project CATCH EyoU (Constructing AcTive CitizensHip with European YOUth: Policies, Practices, Challenges and Solutions). The sample consists of 1732 Italian adolescents and young adults between 15 and 30 years old. They participated in the study on a voluntary basis and filled paper and online questionnaires, after receiving an invitation from the researchers and a presentations of the aims of the study. The data was used in the analysis of the relationship between different forms of participation, school climate and tolerance toward migrants and refugees, and it allows its replication. In particular, the following variables are included: age, age group (adolescent vs. young adults), gender, parents’ education, perceived fairness at school, tolerance toward migrants, tolerance toward refugees, participation (online, civic, conventional political and protest).
This data is made available for open access in compliance with H2020 Program regulation, following the guidelines stipulated by the Data Management Plan adopted by the CATCH-EyoU research project.

本数据集包含欧洲青年构建积极公民身份研究项目（CATCH EyoU，Constructing AcTive CitizensHip with European YOUth: Policies, Practices, Challenges and Solutions）第7工作包框架下，于意大利境内收集的相关定量数据。
研究样本涵盖1732名年龄介于15至30岁的意大利青少年与青年，所有受试者均自愿参与本研究。在收到研究人员的邀请并知悉研究目的后，受试者填写了纸质与线上两类问卷。
本数据集用于分析不同参与形式、学校氛围与对移民、难民包容度之间的关联，且支持研究结果的复现。本数据集包含以下变量：年龄、年龄分组（青少年与青年）、性别、父母受教育程度、感知学校公平性、对移民的包容度、对难民的包容度、参与形式（线上参与、公民参与、常规政治参与及抗议参与）。
本数据集遵循欧盟地平线2020计划（H2020 Program）相关规定，依据CATCH-EyoU研究项目数据管理计划制定的指南，以开放获取的形式公开发布。
