Dataset for the article "Changing oxygen gradients drive N2O dynamics and emissions in high-latitude fjords"

This repository contains a compiled dataset based on original observations of nitrous oxideacross 14 fjords in five countries, collected during seven research expeditions conducted between April 2023 and July 2025. Sampling included water column profiles, intact sediment cores, and river water samples, covering gradients from inner to outer fjord systems under multiple seasonal conditions. Measurements comprise N₂O concentrations and saturations, dissolved nutrients, sediment–water fluxes, air–sea gas exchange, and various environmental parameters obtained through standardized field sampling and incubation experiments.
