Effects of land use and management practices on soil organic carbon in urban green spaces

This dataset contains field data from 248 soil samples collected across house gardens, allotment gardens and public green spaces in the Bonn Rhein-Sieg district in Germany. The objective is to investigate how land use, vegetation type and management practices influence the soil physicochemical properties in urban environments. This dataset includes information on site characteristics, fertilization and irrigation practices, organic matter inputs, soil texture, micro- and macronutrient concentration, soil organic carbon stock and other physicochemical properties. The dataset includes 57 variables and a meta-data sheet explaining definitions, units and details of the measured soil parameters.
