The purpose of the dataset C. elegans terminal bulb aging is to deduce the age of the nemathode based on images of the pharynx terminal bulb (part of the eating apparatus). Images of C. elegans were taken at different chronological ages. This image is part of the day 0 data set. Note that the morphological and chronological ages are not fully correlated due to the variability among individuals even though the individuals are genetically identical. The source for the dataset is Laboratory of Genetics/NIA/NIH.本数据集“秀丽隐杆线虫咽端球衰老（C. elegans terminal bulb aging）”的研制目的为：基于线虫咽部端球（进食器官的组成部分）的图像，推断线虫的实际年龄。该数据集采集了不同时序年龄的秀丽隐杆线虫图像。本图像属于第0日数据集的一部分。需注意：即便个体为遗传背景完全一致的秀丽隐杆线虫，由于个体间存在差异，其形态学年龄与时序年龄并不能完全匹配。本数据集的来源为遗传学实验室/美国国家衰老研究所（NIA）/美国国立卫生研究院（NIH）。
