WARM ABSORBERS IN QUASARS

Warm absorber observations of Seyfert galaxies have shown that they provide apowerful tool to study circumnuclear regions of AGNs. The aim of this proposalis to extend this work to higher redshift, higher luminosity quasars, and thusbegin to investigate the range of properties of Xray/UV absorbers and theirrelation to other components of an AGN. We propose to observe two quasars withknown OVI absorbers in UV and for which ROSAT data suggest the presence of awarm absorber.
