Underwater images of Mayotte reefs, Jolly Roger, colony 15 Favia sp, Future Maore Reefs (FMR)

This dataset is the result of a fieldwork conducted at Mayotte island, over-sea French territory. Mayotte is part of the Comoros archipelago located northward in the Mozambique Channel, western Indian Ocean (WIO). Five well-developed coral reef ecosystems (Aéroport International, Île Blanche, Jolly Roger, N'Gouja, Surprise) representing fringing (F) and inner patch reefs (IPR) within 2-8m depth were sampled during ten field trips between october 2021 and september 2025.本数据集为法国海外领地马约特岛（Mayotte）野外调查的成果。马约特隶属于地处西印度洋（Western Indian Ocean, WIO）莫桑比克海峡北部的科摩罗群岛（Comoros Archipelago）。本次调查选取了5处发育完好的珊瑚礁生态系统，涵盖岸礁（fringing reef，缩写F）与内部斑礁（inner patch reefs，缩写IPR）两种类型，采样点分别为Aéroport International、Île Blanche、Jolly Roger、N'Gouja及Surprise，所有采样点的水深区间为2至8米。本次采样工作于2021年10月至2025年9月间通过10次野外考察完成。
