Chicken is one of the economically important poultry species. ALV-J has emerged as a serious cause of mortality and suboptimal performance in domestic chickens. Recent studies raised the possibility that changes in the virome may contribute to disease pathogenesis. Thus, it is interesting to investigate the effects of ALV-J infection on chicken health from a viral view.
