The Department of Planning and Community Development has a central role inmanaging Victoria's growth and development, and building stronger communities.To achieve this, the Department develops long term plans for Victoria'sregions and cities, invests in infrastructure and services, and supports thedevelopment of local communities. The Department provides leadership in policyand planning advice, particularly about the growth of Victoria and ways topromote growth. The Department's goal is to plan for communities that are great places tolive. The Department's objectives and linked outputs are grouped into Metropolitanand Regional Planning and Development and Investing in Communities.
