George Washington by Jean-Antoine Houdon

George Washington is a statue by French sculptor Jean-Antoine Houdon from the late 18th century. This particular bronze reproduction stands in Fair Oaks Park across the street from the Minneapolis Institute of Art in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Parts of this model are incomplete as Washington stands on a very tall pedestal and I could not capture all the hidden spots. I was surprised to find out, after creating this model, that the bronze I made it from lacks the staff Washington rests his right hand on in the original. Lost perhaps?
