Data and code for: Structured Chaos II — mechanistic knockdown factors for cylindrical shell buckling under bending and combined loading
收藏资源简介:
Data and analysis code supporting the article "Structured Chaos II: mechanistic knockdown factors for cylindrical shell buckling under bending and combined loading" (Wagner & Hühne, Proceedings of the Royal Society A, DOI: 10.1098/rspa.2026.0327). This archive contains all data and Python scripts required to reproduce Figures 1–18 of the article: Monte Carlo knockdown-factor databases for cylindrical shells under bending (laterally restrained and pure bending, n = 300 (sample) geometrically nonlinear analyses per design point), including the derived Mechanistic Design Curves (mean, B-basis and A-basis quantiles) and the combined compression–bending interaction campaigns. Digitised historical experimental datasets for cylinders under bending (Lundquist 1933; Seide et al. 1960, cylinders and cones; Peterson 1956; Dow & Peterson 1960; Panek et al. 2025; Da Silva 2011), provided as CSV files and a consolidated Excel workbook with per-specimen geometry, Batdorf parameter and knockdown factor. Python analysis scripts for all figures, including the statistical lower-envelope estimators (windowed quantile with BCa bootstrap, spline quantile regression, kernel-weighted quantile) and the bootstrap significance tests for the regime structure.
