Tissue adaptation and clonal segregation of human memory T cells in barrier sites

Tissue-resident memory T cells (TRM) arise from T lymphocytes that migrate to barrier sites following infection, providing localized immunity and long-term protection. We demonstrate that TRM at major barrier sites and associated lymph nodes exhibit site-adapted profiles for residency, homing, and function distinct from circulating memory T cells.
