Supplemental Figure 2 Schematic representation of BIC measurement using a 21-day sample. The region of interest (ROI) was defined as the implant perimeter in direct contact with mineralized bone, excluding the outermost coronal and apical regions to avoid sectioning artifacts. Orange dashed lines indicate portions of the implant not in contact with bone, corresponding to areas of soft tissue or artifacts (e.g., evident soft-tissue detachment, marked with *). Measurements were performed in cellSens software (Olympus), calibrated, and verified by two experienced histologists.
