Gambian Adolescent Whole Blood Transcriptome (AMAN Study)

Whole EDTA-treated blood from forty-two individuals was preserved in PAXgene media for downstream sequencing on purified RNA, using an automated TruSeq stranded mRNA-seq library and sequenced using NovaSeq 100PE (Illumina) at Edinburgh Genomics (UK). Study subjects were enrolled into the AMAN study, which stands for Asymptomatic Malaria, Anemia, and Neutrophils (DOI: 10.3389/fimmu.2022.780525). These afebrile, otherwise healthy subjects may have subclinical malaria and schistosoma infection.
