16S rRNA samples obtained from two gravity cores collected in July 2014, one from each basin of the informally named, seasonally ice-covered, glacier-fed Ymer Lake located on Ammassalik Island, South-East Greenland. Core names are abbreviated LYL and UYL (Upper and Lower Ymer Lake). Both cores were sampled at regular intervals (17 samples for LYL, 15 samples for UYL), plus three blanks, one for LYL and two for UYL. We used primers Uni519F (5-CAGCMGCCGCGGTAA-3) and 806R (5-GACTACHVGGGTATCTAATCC-3).
