Samples represent marine microbial metatranscriptomes of >5um microeukaryotes and particle-attached prokaryotes collected from the center of anticyclonic and cyclonic eddies in 2016 and 2017. Objectives of the study were to investigate the spatial and temporal variability of surface microbial assemblage diversity and function in response to mesoscale eddies north of the Hawaiian Islands.
