In this study, transcriptomic analysis was conducted to investigate the leaves of low-K-tolerant peanut cultivar NH18 and K-sensitive cultivar HY20 under different K+ levels (0, 0.1, and 1 mM KCl), identifying the key biological pathways and core genes involved in peanut leaf response to K deficiency. The regulatory role of core genes in leaf development of different peanut varieties was explored, laying the foundation for further research on the molecular mechanisms underlying the response of peanut leaves to K deficiency.
