The aim of the present study is to verify the involvement of m6A modification in mediating the porcine muscle fiber differentiation, which is strongly correlated with the pork quality. At the end, by combining the methylated RNA immunoprecipitation sequencing (MeRIP-seq) and quantitative trait transcript (QTT) analyses, we successfully identified 21 candidate genes, which are broadly modified by m6A, are involved in the porcine skeletal muscle fiber differentiation.
