Most of these are copies of returns which were sent to the Colonial Secretary and include: Returns of Lands sold in districts, 1837-56; Abstracts from returns of Commissioners of Crown Lands 1839-48 which include the number of persons occupying stations in each district, acres under cultivation, number of persons (free or bond) in each district, stock (horses, sheep) and amount of assessment as calculated on the number of stock; Returns relative to Land under Lease or Licence or subject to Quit Rents, 1843-56; Return of Occupation Licences sold 1839-46; Returns of Selections of Land Made under Act 5 & 6 Vic. no.36 1844-48; Return of Publicans' Licences issued by the Colonial Treasurer 1848, and a return of the Colonial Treasurer's establishment and securities 1850-58.(2/2178). 1 vol.
