Analysis of the effects of simvastatin on the mevalonate pathway, cell wall integrity and bacterial metabolome: evidence of the antimicrobial mechanism of action

These data are the result of research carried out to investigate the antimicrobial action mechanism of simvastatin against S. aureus. Analyzes were performed to verify the changes in gene expression, cell wall integridy and the effect of the addition of mevalonate in bacteria treated with simvastatin.
