Sediment grain size analysis data from Mississippi Bight, cruise PTS01, collected October-November 2015

This dataset represents the grain size analysis performed for fifteen surficial sediment samples collected within the Mississippi Bight in the northern Gulf of Mexico using a four-core multi-corer on board the R/V Point Sur from October 29 - November 2, 2015. Samples were analyzed at the University of Southern Mississippi Sediment Laboratory using a Malvern 3000 Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer. The triplicate grain size analyses, as well as the average for each sample, are included. Size classifications include Dx(10), Dx(50), Dx(90), and mode grain sizes, all reported in microns.
