The dataset for the cargo throughput performance : Eastern Port Malaysia.

The data collected with a survey method. Survey method is done in order to gain information on the requirement for dry bulk terminal improvement. The survey was distributed by online questionnaires at all 18 ports in Malaysia that operating a dry bulk cargo operation. This data article describes three datasets for the cargo throughput performance at one of eastern port in Malaysia. The data comprise types of commodity, monthly cargo throughput performance, and ship calls. There are four types of commodity such as liquid ,drybulk,break bulk and container. The total cargoes handling for all types are 12,079.438 tonnes per year. The ship calls for a year are 2.368 ships. All the data is a real data and its important role for research and education in port management, machine learning or data mining as well as in otherfields.

本数据集采用调研方法采集，旨在获取干散货码头（dry bulk terminal）升级改造的相关需求信息。本次调研通过线上问卷的形式，面向马来西亚全部18家开展干散货货运业务的港口发放。本数据论文介绍了马来西亚东部某港口的三类货运吞吐量绩效相关数据集，涵盖商品品类、月度货运吞吐量绩效及船舶靠港频次三类核心信息。商品品类共四类，分别为液体货（liquid）、干散货（dry bulk）、件杂货（break bulk）及集装箱货（container）。各类货物年总吞吐量达12079.438吨，年船舶靠港总数为2.368艘次。所有数据均为真实数据，可在港口管理、机器学习（machine learning）、数据挖掘（data mining）及其他相关领域的研究与教学中发挥重要作用。
