Single nucleus RNA-seq atlas of rat mediobasal hypothalamus

To uncover the cellular identifies of the rat mediobasal hypothalamic cells, we used single nucleus RNA-seq (snRNA-seq). Overall design: Wild-type rats were maintained on ad libitum chow prior to microdissection of the hypothalamus. We then isolated nuclei and subjected these nuclei to snRNA-seq using the 10x Genomics 3' gene expression platform. A mouse mediobasal hypothalamus tissue sample was processed and sequenced simultaneously in one sample.
