Agri-environmental measures (AEM) are implemented in accordance with Community rules, as part of the European rural development policy. They are part of the Hexagonal Rural Development Programme (HRDP). Among them, territorialised agri-environmental measures (MAETs) are a scheme designed to apply to specific areas with targeted challenges within priority action areas (Natura 2000 sites and priority watersheds defined under the Water Framework Directive).The perimeters of these territories describe the management areas of the unit MAET elements.

农业环境措施（Agri-environmental Measures, AEM）作为欧洲乡村发展政策的组成部分，需依照共同体法规予以实施，隶属于六角形乡村发展计划（Hexagonal Rural Development Programme, HRDP）。其中，属地化农业环境措施（MAETs）是专为优先行动区域内存在针对性挑战的特定区域设计的计划方案；此类优先行动区域涵盖《水框架指令》划定的Natura 2000站点与优先流域。上述属地的边界界定了单个MAET要素的管理范围。
